Wow that's crazy! Sorry to hear that, please share what dji says was the cause was, also I'm just wondering what firmware did you update from? The plus is they can't say "you weren't on the latest firmware so you have to pay for any repairs" that's the only thing that worries me about not update...
Wow crazy yeah I don't want to update but if I crash dji won't warrenty anything that's not on most recent firmware as it's happened to others, also did you send in your RC with is? I notice the app isn't 3.1.1 either

The reason of not having a home point is since the boat will always be moving, having no Home Point will cancel having a max distance limit so you can fly without having to worry about reaching that limit and the phantom going back and landing while you are still sailing along the other...
I am wondering and this may be a dumb question but if flying off a moving boat can you use ATTI mode the whole time and never have to worry about resetting the HOME point because you are not use GPS? Will ATTI mode work like that or will it still record a HOME point from where you take off from?
