Sending it back for health reasons.

I'm sorry to hear that mrcrane2u, if I hadn't have gone straight out after it I'd have lost it for sure, somebody would have pulled over their car and had it away. I'm genuinely sorry, I know what it feels like but fortunately that feeling was short lived.

Sending it back for health reasons.

I did get it back earlier today, yeah. It was about 45 metres high and about 60-70 away when it just decided to disconnect and fly off, I was testing a DIY windsurfer and suspect that may have contributed. Luckily enough it auto landed and there's not a mark on it, flawless landing, right next...

Well it's not until your prised possession flies off into the distance that you realise how hopelessly unfit you are, I don't look too bad, but my cardio is wasted. Going to have to find a less sedentary hobby, lol.

    I did, it didn't work.

Sending it back for health reasons.

So I crafted my windsurfer and sent the Phantom into the air with 99% battery and attempted a range test, then I bottled it and attempted to bring her in, only she had other ideas and just kept going. All of a sudden I lose video feed and controller signal to the bird is terminated. I tried to...

Geez, and you've got to love that "DJI care deduction -0.00" They're really quite remorseless, sorry for your loss mate.

    Propeller longevity, Phantom 3 Standard.

Cheers guys, I really don't want to be in the "my Phantom fell out of the sky" club. I always spin them on and then just give them 1/4 turn more to ensure they're on.

    This video.

I saw this and it made me laugh. Anybody else seen a funny drone video?

    Propeller longevity, Phantom 3 Standard.

I did perform a search on the Phantom 3 boards before typing this and found quite a few articles about props flying off. What I want to know is how to tell when the threads are dangerously weak? Are there any signs to spot? Are there any better propellers out there? With tougher threads...

    Where to from here........

I know what you mean, the Phantoms are great at what they do, beautiful stable images and videos, but where's the excitement? I'm going to build an FPV racer in the next couple of months too, been practising with a soldering iron a bit.

    No Confidence

I found being a bit **** about your pre-flight helps with that fear, my attitude is if I've done everything right then it's a warranty issue and DJI will step up and fix it. Try going to a large open space with a clear view and gradually increase the distance with each flight. Best of luck man.

    First Attack

I don't own a single firearm Buford. I'm trying to stop this debate before it becomes an argument.

    First Attack

This is definitely going off topic, let's just accept it's two different worlds.
