Welcome to the club! Be sure to learn how to fly your Phantom 4 manually. I've seen many Phantom 4 owners rely on the Tap to Fly ability and while that is cool, a pilot should always know how to operate the drone manually. Plus, most find that much more enjoyable.
Welcome to the club! This is a great forum for information, best practices, do's and don'ts. Lot of knowledge here. Like any other forum be sure to do some research and search for your answer before posting something new. A few of the members here love to beat up on people for that ;)

You have more restraint than I did. I had my P3P airborne minutes after the battery was charged the first time. Best way to learn is to fly it around. Stay in beginner mode for a while and get used to the controls. One big that that helped me is to change the controller layout. I'm used to...
Welcome to the club! The P3A is an amazing machine. You'll be very happy with it. The only difference with the P3P is the 4K camera and if you don't have a 4K TV, you may not "need" it.

Welcome to the party. You're in a great area to get some killer shots. Colorado (specifically summit county) is my favorite vacation spot and hope to live there someday. Definitely share some pics when you get them.
I have to agree that most of the press is negative. I've owned a P3P now for a couple months and I've tested people reactions to the aircraft. If I tell them its a drone they seem more hesitant to ask additional questions or to show interest. But, if I tell them its a quadcopter they...
