    Mavic delivery time??

I think Amazon is just being safe on their estimates. Take a look at the forums for the older generations (p3, p4) and people seemed to start receiving them within 5-10 days of the shipping date when they were ordered directly from DJI (some as early as 3 days). Hopefully the Mavic has a...

    New p3p's $500

Anytime an Ebay seller wants you to contact them directly and only accepts wire transfers or money orders that's a HUGE red flag.

P3P or 3DR Solo? What's the main difference?

Ahh ok. Pretty cool stuff right there.

P3P or 3DR Solo? What's the main difference?

I can't figure out exactly what they are selling there. Is it any different from the multitude of other mapping services available for use with any drone that can run waypoints?

    Phantom 4 Object Avoidance

I was thinking the GoPro drone will be like the Solo. Too little and way too late.

Which drone to use scouting for hunting.

Short answer, which others have said. It's not going to be useful for spotting birds in real time. Even on an iPad air, I can't see a bird until I'm basically right on top of it. You might be able to pick them out if you take photos and then review the full resolution versions later.

Anyone tried the Vertical Studio App yet?

Can't speak to the usefulness of Vertical Studio, but Autopilot 3 with the "Airspace" feature works pretty dang well too. Downside is you need another connected iOS device. Upside is that it works.

Traveling through Canada/US border with Phantom?

I don't think FAA registration is even an option for non US residents. Hell, most of the people I know who fly aren't bothering with that crap either. As for me, I'm not going to bother. It's all a bunch of fluff.

    4K camera - P3 Pro - warning

It is possible to edit 4k on underpowered hardware in some software by setting up proxy files. You basically do your edits with a low res version, then use the full res source files when you go to render.

    Auto Pilot for DJI

Also check out Maps Made Easy. It flies a grid pattern over a selected area and captures downward facing photos that you can stich together using their cloud or any number of different mapping programs.

    Heading to San Fran today!

HMB is beautiful. You'll get some great stuff out there. If you make it up to the city you could try getting footage of the GGB from crissy field, or the bay bridge from rincon park. Some guy flew a phantom out to Alcatraz from fisherman's wharf..pier 41 I think. Treasure Island has some cool...

Vertical Studio - Looking for Beta Testers

I feel like an ioc type mode would be awesome for flying line of sight and craft relative for FPV flying.

Vertical Studio - Looking for Beta Testers

I was wondering when someone was going to take a run at this functionality. Looking good! When you are tracking an object are the pitch and roll movements relative to the craft, or is it going into a course/home lock mode? I'd love to give it a try to see how it tracks my Parkzone Sukhoi SU29MM...

Phantom 3 Pro Catastrophic Battery Failure

Not running with a fully topped off battery shouldn't be a problem. If it says 58%, then it should have enough to fly for at least 10 minutes or so. I don't go fill up my car when it's at half a tank just to run to the grocery store. This almost seems like the voltage or current sensor is out of...

Airnest - Looking for Beta Testers

I dislike this statement. It's like calling out someone cheap for not buy a particular model of GPS for their brand new car. If you want to convince people of the usefulness of an app then speak to the good points of it (Airnest has plenty of good things to talk about). Calling someone cheap...
