Re: Paintball Event - New Zealand (Off Season at a Water Par
It was great to film and be a part of - the weather wasn't the greatest with a lot of rain and some high gusts on day 1. The Phantom held its own though was really happy with it.
Video I had made of a recent Paintball Event in Hastings, New Zealand - it's filmed at the Splash Planet Water Park currently closed during its off season.
Used Phantom 2 Vision with Aerial Freaks Cyclops Vision

Video I did using the gimbal, some small vibrations that I think reducing the power will sort.

It's a preview for a Paintball Event in New Zealand next month (at a Water Park that closes during Winter)
-the underwater shots are using a ReplayXD 1080mini
I use a couple of rubber bands around the frame that wrap underneath preventing the gimbal from flopping down. Easy to remove and replace and does the job.
I noticed having my roll power at 177 was giving a high pitched sound from the motor, touching the motor stopped it but didn't sound good.
After studying a bit more on PIDs I went back to Pirahnas settings and fine tuned to what I'm really happy with. Haven't recorded any video yet but...
I'm not really sure either, my pitch was inverted by default. I only changed it after trying other peoples settings - bit worried if it's going to cause damage
It rained most of today but managed to get a quick flight test in near the end of the day, still notice some vibrations but will have to wait until the weekend to spend some time fine tuning.
A lot of my movements were quick and jerky to really test it, so far still very happy with it...
Received the Gimbal in the post today - really happy with the price from RC Depot, Freight was $35USD and took 4 business days to get to New Zealand.
Out of the box without touching any of the settings there was some vibrations in the video, a lot less than I expected after reading this thread...
I live in Feilding, NZ
Got the P2V to help film paintball videos, really keen on buying a gimbal for it as there's not many calm days here!
Looking forward to filming the Battle of Hasting (http://battleofhastings.co.nz/?page_id=44) with the P2V, it's a paintball event at Splash Planet in...
