I own 3 Drones and work on the mountain. I have a Spark when I go backcountry. In bounds you need a permit to fly. Actually a good rule as guys try to fly around crowded slopes which is not safe. Tom, Whistler

Personally i really don't care....I have over 275 flights on my P3A and do all my flying in the mountains and wilderness. People who fly their machines in cities or around groups of people are courting disaster and should cover themselves in terms of insurance.

Just checking to see peoples views. Both the new Karma and Mavic specs are showing 14000-16000 altitude rating. Are these operating altitudes?
I assume both new models are restricted to the 500 Metre (16,460 ft) fly to limit we experience on other drones.
