Yes, it was Carry on luggage in one of these DJI Phantom 3 Backpack Limited Edition Black | GPC, Inc.

No problems at all. We flew from NAIA 3 to Tokyo Narita and back out of Tokyo through LAX with no issues the whole trip. I would do it again without any worry whatsoever about my Phantom.

@TheAwesomeGuy We went through NAIA Terminal 1 when we arrived and Terminal 3 on the way to and from Palawan.

If it helps anybody I was able to bring my P3P into the Philippines last week with no problems whatsoever. Nobody even asked what was in my bags. It was in a Go Professional Limited Edition backpack if that helps anybody. It also made it through multiple smaller municipal airports with no issues...
