Unfortunately, some people think that once they have flown the Phantom for 5 minutes, they are then an expert. ;)

I have 3 LiPo bags. One for discharged, one for being charged and one for charged.

Is the $199 about right price? I know it beats losing over a thousand bucks of GoPro and Phantom but I have a lot of places I could better use that $199 right now. (I'm trying to start a small business)

Which pelican case and how much? I know they're not exactly cheap. The Duratool case is currently unavailable and Amazon lists they don't know when they'll get more.

Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop now have a lens correction feature for Hero 3 photos. Photoshop will also fix video. Fantastic!

The tile has a 50 meter range, the stick n find has 100 feet. The tile is under $20, the stick n find is $50. Does that extra 50' of range make a difference? If you're roaming through a 30 acre cotton or soybean field, it sure does. If you're going through a field of corn that's over your head...

The red and black wires are used for the "constant" current mode, around 80% charged. Then, with a balanced charger, it shifts to constant "voltage" mode and each cell is charged through the tap. The contacts in the connectors and the small wires are due to very little current flowing. Tim T.

With the stock charger, I have charged batteries I just received as well as batteries I have ran down to the point of the Phantom ditching. I have always charged at one amp after the battery has cooled but I have never noticed it taking forever. Usually I am surprised at how soon they are...

I'm using NiMh in mine without any issues.

If I have lost my Phantom, you can be darn sure ill spend hours looking for it. And I would hate to walk 20' away and not see it. Getting within 50m and replacing it each year seem to be very minor issues to me. Hard to explain to my wife that I just flew $700 away with no idea where it is. Tim T.
