I'm going to be buying antennas from Horizon so am very interested in your set up. Did you have amps to boost the signal or did you just rely on the antennas?

I'm also interested in this. As well as long range I'm looking for maximum penetration for low level flying at distance with lots of tall trees around. How about something like this? Horizon 2.4 GHz RF amp dual kit ( 2 x 1 watt )

Very nice! Can you give details of the mod you had done? I'm going to go for an ITelite panel antenna but am thinking of power mod and maybe an rf amp as well. What increase in flight time do you get with the power mod?

iPad Air 2 for me. The bigger screen allows you to see more detail, and the weight isn't cumbersome at all.

Quadcopters is where I bought my P2V from six weeks ago. This doesn't look like a hard case so I doubt it would be any use for taking on a plane. I'm looking for a decent case but I reckon it would have to be a hard case.

Fear of a fly away is exactly why I invested in a TK102B GPS Tracker - £35 plus a free pay as you go sim card from O2. It works like a dream, and gives me confidence that if my Phantom does make a bid for freedom I have that much more chance of getting it back :D
