    I agree 100% that the Phantom 3 Standard is the best entry level drone you can buy. I bought a refurb from Newegg for less than $300 and haven't had any issues with it (looked like new to me).

    I agree with one of the other posters above, I suspect you lost a prop while in flight which would cause the spiraling effect you had.

    I'd consider a P3S refurb.... you can get one for around $300 from Newegg or directly from DJI (if you keep your eye out for sales)... I picked one up about two months ago for $290 from Newegg. Couldn't be happier.

    You can pick up a refurbished P3A directly from DJI for a decent price.

    Should get everything you need to get in the air with initial purchase. You may wish to purchase additional items (e.g. extra batteries, props, etc.) after you've flown a few times.
