    Leaving.. :-(

I have both a P4P+ and a Mavic Air. I must say I’ve been hammering the mavic for the last 3 months. Took both to show my Uncle couple of days ago. Was surprised I just needed a quick charge and update and I was good to go. I too have been swayed by the Dark Side. Not keen to sell the Phantom...

range extender????? so interested, but what works?

I think so, they are now permanently on my Air. It’s the tone rather than the volume that makes the difference. There are heaps of reviews on them out there, a lot more scientific than i’ve done. Haven’t had the sports mode warnings with them either. Don’t regret buying them but I guess it’s a...

range extender????? so interested, but what works?

Yep, come to think of it probably antenna so will send it back for them to check (still under warranty). No crashes or hard landings. I have commented on another post re: Master screws blades. I do think they are quieter, not quite stealthy as claimed but quieter. Can’t work out how to link to...

range extender????? so interested, but what works?

I was thinking the same thing about LOS. However, i’m seriously looking at something like this as I get loss of signal frequently with my Mavic Air, only 150 feet away. I don’t think it’s interference from anything else as I normally fly well away from people, building etc.

What this is really about (my opinion)

Will they embed this in the drone when it’s manufactured rather than making us instal it after market. Won’t get the drones already out there but it would be a start. Yes, like fun and dog registration, only the law abiding people will do it. You can drive around the streets with no licence...

    flying with other drones

I am involved in crash testing from time to time. I’ve seen two phantoms and a mavic flying at the same time in the same area for different views. Don’t know it it was supposed to be done but there were no issues.

Drone sightings reported over Newark, NJ Airport this evening.........

Unfortunately with the media hype at present knee jerk reactions like this are likely to occur. Played out in the media first then investigated. How many retractions do the media make when it was found not to be the case?

Dumb operators also working in NZ

The eagle helicopter (Police helicopter) said they saw one the night before as well. Unfortunately if it’s true or not the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) have to investigate, which as per an above thread have found many times that drone sightings were other things (ie balloons). Just pointing...

Dumb operators also working in NZ

Yep good point. Here it would be a couple of thousand easy for the chopper. Maybe if it starts to impact their livelihood they might complaint a bit more.

Dumb operators also working in NZ

Just read this on line article in NZ. Unconfirmed but has some credibility to it. Gives the rules in NZ at the end of the article. Good to see a pilot actually wanting more education and not enforcement but I guess it will only be a matter of time before they crack down. New Year's Auckland...

    Pyramids of Euseigne

Thanks for sharing. This is why I got into drones in the first place. Reminds me why we do this and that there are positives to our hobby.

    My shirt says:

My theory is to ask 3 questions before flight. Can I fly over this land, can I fly in this air space (with/without added restrictions) and will there be people around. Anyone I see approaching are greeted with a smile and an explanation. I must say all i’ve had had been positive comments (must...
