Rod, mine would activate RTH. I'm using a android tablet with android 7 on it. After I signed out and back in it's been working good.

The around 100ft high and 300ft out sounds like the new dji go updated app. Mine done that and all I had to do was sign back out of dji go and then sign back into it. I've seen lots of post about it on here and that's where I learned how to fix it.

Just because it's not on the list doesn't mean it won't work. I'm using a tablet with that same processor that's not on that outdated list and it works perfectly.

Did you get your camera figured out yet?

Ive seen several articles on this and it can be caused by using aftermarket props. In every case I've read about when they went back to dji props the problem stopped. Here is one link that talks about it. Jello Effect - What causes it and how to cure it.

This might help, it seems the gimble wheel had to be calibrated before it would hold. Remote Controller and Sticks Calibration Controller will not calibrate

Not sure if this is your problem but after you connect to phantom wifi, does your phone reconnect to another wifi because the phantom doesn't have internet? I've seen that some phones will do that. Try putting phone in airplane mode and then turn on WiFi and connect to phantom and see if that works.
