DJI goggles are overkill for me. I just want a simple pair of wired goggles that aren't too heavy that I can use without wearing glasses. I'm tired of trying to shade my screen in bright sunlight.

Wait -- not only is it overpriced, but that set has everything but a circular polarizing filter.

Anybody know a source for a circular polarizing filter for the Phantom 4 Pro? None of the regular Phantom 3/4 filters fit.

Correct -- I want to view the DJI Go app in the goggles.

What appealed to me about eyebox smart is the use of a smartphone and decent lenses. I work in open spaces with a spotter. The smartphone is no more likely to fail in the goggles than mounted on the RC. I would only use them when it's too **** bright to see the screen. (I usually shoot at dawn...

Thanks for the details! I guess I could try just using the smartphone/goggles (without having a separate display for the RC). I was sure I would need to have a tablet on the RC and goggles connected to HDMI. This sounds simpler (and cheaper). Guess I'll order the eyebox SMART.

How is the phone connected to the goggles (and to the RC)? Are you simply using the phone running CJI Go with a long cable connecting to the RC?

Is there any documentation for the eyeboxfpv SMART? I have a 6-inch smartphone I'd like to use. What are the connections used between the RC, eyebox, and smartphone?

I happened to have a Nexus 7 that I replaced with a smartphone. I put it back into service with my Phantom 3 and it has been great.

So glad to hear about your successful return with Apple. It is devastating to crash your bird. I cut my teeth for three months on a Hubsan X4. They are very difficult to fly, but it was good to gain experience with the controls. Because you already have a Phantom, just take it to an open area...
