I asked DJI about using dual batteries and they said not to. They didn't go into detail though. Common sence tells you the motor work harder and get warmer, but at what limit or life of the motors does it effect.
I had to replace one of my motors and the EC board recently. Once I replaced it, I realized I ordered the wrong thread direction for the self tightening props. What I did was to remove the top of the old motor thread/shaft part and put it on the new motor. It was not hard to do and flew...
Any idea how far you can fly from the transmitter? Of course you don't want to go to far then you can't see it. I'm just curious and know you could use IOC in case you get in that position.
Well, after thinking about my Fly away I had sometime to go over what I may have done wrong.
The only thing that is odd that I did differently was, the day before I tried an experiment by hooking two batteries in parallell and velcroing them to the bottom. All went well and and I increased the...
I understand Irish. Just thought I'd let the Group know it does still happen.
If I had to do it over again, I would install a GPS tracker on it. Let this be a lesson to others to buy the GPS tracker. After three months of flying it successfully and using FailSafe manytimes, I thought I was...
Well...After about two months of successful Phantom flight almost every day, I finally had the Phantom fly away on it's own.
I did all the normal setup before flight. Had all 7 satellites. I never rush that part. I've used FailSafe before and it worked everytime. I even had IOC enabled. No...
I experimented yesterday with two batteries in parallel, straped to the bottom with velcro straps. Was able to leave the battery door open without problem. My usual flight are about 11 to 12 minutes not loaded with much of anything, sometimes a GoPro.
This flight was 18.5 minutes. I wasn't...
I'm thinking about putting two batteries on my Phantom. I'm wondering what negative it would take on driving the motors that hard, not to mention the drivers on the circuit board.
Any thoughts?
I'm seeing so many different pricing on the Gimbals for my Phantom for my GoPro. Pricing ranges from $50.00 to $200.00 without tilt. They all look like knock-offs of each other. All look good.
Looking at this one.

What are you r thoughts?
I wondering some of the things. I have a Phantom but no Gimble. I see pricing from $50.00 all the way up to $200.00 for a brushless one (without tilt). They all look fine and seem to be copies of each other. Any thoughts on what to do?

I forgot to mention that I also put a piece of foam in the top cover too. That way it's covered on all sides.
Before I put the case together my PH was just hangin around the house with pieces here & there. Just waiting to be broken by a bystander.
What did they charge you at Walmart for...
DJI Phantom Carry case
I’ve seen some expensive pre-made carry boxes out there to carry our DJI Phantoms on trips or to flying spots. Many of them way too expensive for my blood, including a water proof box. Kind of overkill for me.
Being that I’m kind of cost continence, I started a search...
