Very anti-climatic

I don't know why DJI hasn't pull off the 1.2.6 firmware from the website, I was planning to get the Phantom 3 Pro, but now I've decided on the Yuneec Q500 4K

If that is the case they should remove the firmware upgrade off their website

I think it should be fairly simple to accomplish in firmware by accessing the altimeter data and not allowing the motors to cut out unless on the ground during flight

MC Settings then Advanced Settings then Failsafe Mode

Have you tried degaussing the compass? See the following youtube video

Did you do a IMU Cal and then a Gimbal Cal?
