Originally I had stuck a coin on the servo can, but that can cause buzzing of the motor. So now I have a small lead weight on the bottom back edge of the GoPro mounting plate, nearest the servo end, and a stick on tire balancing weight on the rectangular part of the arm, directly behind the side...
I finally got around to rebalancing my H3-3D after adding an ND filter to my Hero4 Black. So do you normally need to change the CG settings in Phantom Assistant to compensate?
Thanks
One more thing to keep in mind. If you're getting an Immersion Tx, get the 7 channel Black Pearl. That Tx doesn't work so well with the 32 channel for some reason.
I fully charge my BP battery before I go flying, and after about 45min. (3 Phantom batteries worth of flight time), the BP battery is down around 50%. Is this normal? I know it's not a terribly big battery, but that seems a bit short.
What kind of time are you guys getting?
Thanks
My Hero 4 Black required 2 pennies, but I keep the battery in it and have a SRP ND4 filter as well. You'll need to experiment a little to find the balance. I use plain cellophane tape to test the balance first, then double-sided tape to mount the coin(s).
Re: Isn't it time to embrace the word "drone?"
I won't get into the drone thing, but you flew in a place it's illegal to fly. The entire GGNRC is off limits.
Balancing helps to reduce the amount of work the motor needs to do to keep the gimbal in alignment. If yours is a bit off, probably not a big deal. But most folks balance for longer life and less wear and tear.
I think you're talking about the gimbal assistant. That is only Windows. But the Phantom Assistant can update the gimbal. And no problem switching back and forth.
Hi folks, for those that have the GPC backpack, can you please tell me if there is any padding on the part that zips down? It looks like it's just nylon, so that makes me wonder if the top of the Phantom could be damaged by a sharp hit.
Thanks
