    Question on DJI goggle RE....

It's the 5.8Ghz antenna (used by the analog receiver and also used by ocusync 2). If your Mavic 2 or P4Pv2 is set to 5.8 exclusive, or it's set on auto (default) and flips to 5.8, you're very likely to loose the video stream. The 5.8 ocusync range without the antenna installed is about 300m.

    DJI Goggles - comparison

Good choice, remember to screw on the supplied antenna if you've set your frequency to auto, or 5.8 exclusively.

    DJI Goggles - comparison

It's by design, 5.8Ghz is locked out because the white goggles only work in 2.4Ghz spectrum when paired to the drone. If you want 5.8 back, re-link the radio controller (which will reset the settings). I did have the white goggles initially, but decided to switch soon after I got my V2 for the...

Phantom 4 Pro Version 2 Gimbal Issue

Shaking gimbal is obviously not normal. Does it do it inflight only or on startup as well? If it's only doing it in flight it's possible one of the dampeners dislodged or is blocked by debris; you can open it up and have a look at the gimbal assembly and the attachment points (youtube away)...

Using amplifier with DJI Racing Goggles

Yeah, sorry, I didn't expand further: The detachable "mushroom" antenna is only used for the 5.8GHz band/feed while the one in the headband is 2.4Ghz band/feed. If you're flying your V2 in the default dual band mode; Depending on which channel it picks, the goggles will use the corresponding...

Can you use Litchi with DJI Goggles?

Litchi runs on the device connected to your radio controller (not on the Goggles) . The goggle uses its own (DJI proprietary) app to display the telemetry and video downlink (can't change that). You need to use your RC with either the DJI GO app or Litchi to take off and fly beyond 30m radius...

Using amplifier with DJI Racing Goggles

The goggles pick up the transmitted video downlink through its own antenna (located in the headband). I've never read or heard of anyone amplifying the goggle transmitter / receiver. What type of ranges are you seeing that makes you disappointed? Are you flying in a radio congested area? What...

    Phantom EOL?

I agree with Romeo; It never made much sense for them to sell two different sized products, at the same price point with almost identical features. P5 would have to live somewhere between the M2P and I2 line so we'd be looking at a $1750~ 2,500 device that would have to better than the M2P...

New Mavic2 Smart Controller, compatible with P4PV2?

Sorry to burst your bubble but that's incorrect. Mavic (1) Pro and Platinum only work in the 2.4 GHz band (TX/RX) - protocol: "Occusync 1" Further clarifications: Phantom 4 Pro (V1) is dual band 2.4GHz and 5.8Ghz (TX/RX) manually switchable - protocol: Lightbridge 2 Phantom 4 Pro (V2) is...

Here's how to install 3rd party apps (Pix4d and Control+DJI in this case) on the Phantom 4 Pro+ built in screen

Easiest way to tell the V1 and V2 apart (aside from the tapered props which are compatible with both versions and can be bought separately) is by looking at its remote. The V2 remote has ventilation grills in the front of the enclosure. Also, the V2 Phantom itself has a battery latch...

How to install gmail on the RC of Phantom 4pro plus V2

Here's how to install 3rd party apps (Pix4d and Control+DJI in this case) on the Phantom 4 Pro+ built in screen

Just for the record: That's not a V2. Obsidian option was only available on the P4P (V1) discontinued from the offical DJI store around May 2018. V2 comes in white only (for now). Good tutorial otherwise.

    Canadian drone rules

Flying your drone safely and legally - Transport Canada As mentioned by 3rdof5, phantom class restricts you to 76m (safe distance - radius). I haven't heard of anyone getting fined for breaking this rule, however in the remote case where you do end up damaging private property or hurting...
