[TOOL][WIN] Offline TXT FlightRecord to CSV Converter

A quick way to test if something is encrypted is to use a compression program on it (e.g., Zip). In general, encrypted files will not compress significantly if the encryption is effective (there are exceptions to that rule).

The linked file worked fine for me (after renaming it to .csv).

    Landing pad "pattern".

I use a simple T pattern, used by pilots and airfields for a hundred years or so. Crosspiece of the T is into the wind; always useful reminder...

Some might say that Macs are totally aberrant :-). But let's not have that discussion here. Instead, have you tried using Wine on your mac? Good chance that the utility will run fine in that environment..

Curious as to why they are encrypted -- it's a bit as if Garmin encrypted GPX files -- completely defeats the object of sharing data, tracks, etc. I can imagine reasons why some internal performance data of the drone's batteries and electronics might be considered proprietary ... but saving...

Can you take picures while recording video?

I fly a Mavic Pro, and the still shots are much better than frames from 4K video. So now when I want a still I kill the video, take still shot(s) then restart video. It would be much more convenient for the app/firmware to support this directly, and any Panasonic compact or travel camera can do.

    Stealth Drone Propellers

Or in UK or Spain I'd probably be happy to help. No payment required; don't want to start filling in tax returns again :-). Adult beverages would do fine.

    High Velocity Wind Warnings

I got one when flying my Mavic yesterday .. given it was gusting 12-15 mph at ground level and probably 20+mph at 50m the warning seemed reasonable and useful.

What do you use as a landing/take off pad?

I think there must be different thicknesses of these silicone sheets -- some are barely thicker than baking parchment. How thick is the one you use? (Thanks in advance .. offline for a couple of weeks.)

Different question: any chance of open-sourcing your tool? Then people who want minor tweaks can fiddle as much as they like :-). I've open-sourced a lot of code (decNumber, NetRexx, etc.) and it has always seemed a good thing to do. Mike

What do you use as a landing/take off pad?

Bit of an oxymoron, there ... :-).

What do you use as a landing/take off pad?

I've made a couple (actually three) landing pads -- so far the best is a 'picnic seat' that folds in four, with a light wooden lath velcro'd underneath to make it rigid (the whole weighs ~150g). On all of them, however, I have added white tape to make a T shape, as in airfield signal squares...

What do you use as a landing/take off pad?

Sure enough, if you look carefully his thumb pulls back the left stick; odd he doesn't mention that. The disable landing protection seems to be unnecessary, though, just keep your hand away from the downwards sensors... Many thanks, again!
