I tried it after dark but the glare made it hard to see. Tried in the daytime and you could not see the lights. So this is the best I could get. Should have gotten closer to the displays.

Do you ever get to the Luling area?

I like the idea in the original post, with one small change. If it is going to hover for 3 seconds waiting then I think it should only back track for a short amount of time. If no signal then RTH as it currently is.
