Just got my new P3P. All OK out of the box until I try to connect the DJI App on my Android tablet to the Phantom. Done everything I can think of including using another Android device, different USB cord and re-installing the App. No luck. Anyone out there who can help me?
The horizon is crooked in every video and still photo from my GoPro 3 since a crash last week. The camera is visibly crooked in relation to the P2 even with power on. It seems to be operating properly otherwise. Checked Asst. Software for a possible adjustment to no avail. anyone else with...
Doubt it's battery. Showed power still on with LEDs flashing after crash like nothing happened, then props powered up OK after crash. Is it possible for there to be a battery outage, but then immediately return to full operation? Will investigate PC software today. Thanks.
Had P2 for a year-and-a-half. No major crashes until today. P2 was sitting idle for about 4-6 weeks. Charged everything up to test flight in the back yard before some serious video shoots this coming week. Flew low for 2-3 minutes, then jumped quickly to about 50-60 ft. Did a slow spin and...
Good point....yes, I had an iOSD, however, I was in panic mode at the time and was concentrating on a visual of the copter and my battery level. If it happens again, I'll be sure to take note of that. Thanks, but I still am not convinced it's a signal problem. As I mentioned in previous...
Also... after the successful Home Lock return to base and Home Lock was turned off, the P2 again did not respond to stick commands and we had to wait for a low battery forced landing to recover it.
I understand what you're saying, however, I am still confused as to why it could be a reception issue if the P2 responded to the right stick, returning to base during Home Lock. Isn't it an "all or nothing" situation with signal?
No, I have not. However, this problem has been so intermittent, I could fly w/o the Tx and have no problem and it wouldn't necessarily suggest that I found the problem.
When recently upgrading to FPV, I too swapped my stock landing gear for the extended gear to give my GoPro a little breathing room. 20-25 flights later, I haven't experienced any compass related problems...that doesn't mean I won't in the future, but I am curious to see if anyone else replies...
As for the FPV, I'm using a 5.8GHz, 400mW Video Tx, so I would assume it would not interfere with the 2.4GHz signal between the quad and the controller. Is interference possible in this instance.
No problem.....I welcome any input. Usually there is someone out there that has had the same or similar problem and can offer some guidance, but so far, no takers.
And like I mentioned in my original post, the quad still did not respond to stick commands after flying back to base on home lock....when it was hovering only 5 m overhead.
