WHEN DOES THE PHANTOM3 BATTERY EXPLODE ??

I want to like this a lot more then just once...

    P3 sends data to FAA?

I have the belief that if Anyone was actually using any information, it would more then likely be the Chinese. They make the system as well as the software that is used to video and photograph pretty much EVERYTHING(minus airports). People talk about filming power plants, dams, while on...

My First negative, from a Ranger

With DJI's return policy you might want to avoid them for this kind of purchase...

Dan balzerian . That guy is sick, shooting tons of drones with machine guns

It would seem to me that will all those Phantoms falling out of the air, he must be using the updated FWo_O I wonder how many people are going to "consider returning there P3's" because of this.

What happens if you cut the engines mid air, can you turn them back on and save the P3

Compared to some of the other crowdsourcing campaigns I have seen, "Potato Salad"(which I funded haha), I don't think that is such a horrible idea!

Why is the drone home point when RTH never accurate

He was commenting on the fact that if you are within a certain distance, hitting RTH will just cause your quad to land versus flying to a spot and landing. If you have RTH selected and lose your TX signal, your quad will RTH. If you have LAND selected and lose your TX signal, your quad will LAND

What happens if you cut the engines mid air, can you turn them back on and save the P3

I am in the same boat, the pure desire to really see this work is pretty high for me too. Not $1000 high yet, but high lol.

What happens if you cut the engines mid air, can you turn them back on and save the P3

There was a guy on here that posted he tried this because he saw a video of someone doing it. Needless to say, he crashed his drone. I do not believe that the necessary flight dynamics will be met while the quad is falling and flipping around for it to "right itself" and maintain flight.

Taping the SD card to avoid loosing it in a crash

If you crash hard enough to lose a properly inserted SD card...that is going to be the least of your worries.

Phantom 3 rc HDMI output board now in store

Just because I'm not seeing it written down somewhere...I have to assume that since this is a DJI sold modification, that the warranty isn't affected after a self-install?

Do you need to calibrate the P3 every time it's used?

The concern with doing a calibration every time you fly is that you may end up with a bad one and not notice it, therefor inducing problems. As long as she is flying well and you are aren't seeing any issues I say don't calibrate.

    400 foot?

I don't think I would be able to NOT fly into that cave...even with the knowledge that I will lose my quad, I would still have to do it. Not saying you should...but If you do, please make sure to cache that video!

    Auto record

You could always make it part of an "After Take Off Checklist" As soon as you start your engines and pull into a hover to see how she is flying, you start your video. I got into the habit of doing that anytime I am planning on recording.

    400 foot?

You should be able to go over any mountain no matter how high staying at 400' AGL. By the math, if a mountain is 12,000' tall, and you fly above it at 12,399 feet, you are still under 400' AboveGROUNDLevel. You may be thinking about Sea Level which would have you flying at 12,399 feet about...

Can you operate P3 without data/cell service or is it meant to run with data connectivity

When you buy a handheld GPS or have a GPS in your car, it doesn't receive any data other then current position from GPS satellites via MICROWAVE signals. You must load maps into those devices via a card or from a computer to have up to date MAP data. The Microwave signals used in GPS...
