They SDK is for building on their platform. You can use it for others but they will not support it because the code base is not theirs.

DJI has stated that they will not support any drone that uses any other application other than DJI GO. I hope you were using DJI Go when this happened :(

That is the key, do not upgrade to 2.4.4.. I am still running the older build and I am not affected what so ever :)

Not entirely true. 1.6 doesn't contain any of the GeoFencing code in it. I do not have to unlock anything before I fly. That all starts at 1.7. I have never updated to the latest Go software either. Problem solved.

Make sure you downgrade to firmware 1.6 and you will be fine and not have to worry about this bs.

I would use DJI Go or be forced to upgrade to their latest firmware which enforced GeoFencing. At this point you will be required to unlock your drone every single time you want to use it.

Yep its all enforced by GeoFencing. Problem with this technology is that they can set boundaries and one is breached it could send a notification to the FAA (for instance you are exceeding the recommended flight height, etc). They get your drones SN and real time coords and if they want to...
