Well I think I discovered the issue. looks like there is a fracture forming on one of the back arms and it looks like the rest of the back body is flexing. off to repairs it goes! Good thing I bought the DJI protection!
No motor noise without the props. performed a little hovering...it is dark out so about 7 feet off my front lawn with a flashlight. I will try again in the am. Looks like the shake is reduced. I will torque down the screws a little more and see if that helps.
Ok Just checked the motor mounts. Appearently the back motors had some wiggle to them. Tightened them up. the back end seems a little stiffer. I will take Digdat0 advise and spin them up. if that passes I will perform a hover.
The only crash was a bad landing into the side of an inflatable pool. No water damage and I killed the engines before impact. Not what I would call a hard crash. I am checking the motor mounts now. I am noticing some flex on the back arms and a little separation on the battery housing
All,
I am at a loss. Recently my P3A has started shaking very noticeably while hovering. it is causing the gombal as camera to shake along with the aircraft which is causing a noticeable shake within the videos. I have tried IMU recalibration, compass recalibration, and replacing the props with...
So I guess it all depends on several factors. For me the portability without compromising functionality was a HUGE sell. Nothing like packing all of my photography gear for travel into a small backpack and taking it on the go. I currently have the P3A and I love it! But it does take up a lot of...
Agreed. It depends on the person. I am using a canon 70D for my land based photography and the Olympus TG-4 for any underwater photography. For me I do not need the flexibility of the detachable gimbal. Of course I could definitely see where it would come in handy.
I decided to pre-order one for my fledgling business. The compactivity of it is making it a HUGE plus for me. Once I receive it I plan on doing a full test and review. Overall I have been impressed with the reviews and photos that have been posted around the web.
I have taken to telling people, even admirers, that the drone is registered with the FAA and is clearly marked. I had someone ask if I was recently hovering over their house. I told them no I respect people's privacy and current FAA guidelines prohibit flying over someones house without...
Thank you for your post. I have been reading through incidences like yours on the forums and trying to learn from the mistakes of others. That is the nice thing about this forum is the collective learning. Sorry to hear about your crash!
