    Vision Sensing

I agree, since precision landing is one of the functions of the sensor set. From my last data set, it kicked in the Doppler at about 32 ft and I suppose the other sensors were functioning as well. I can land, but I've used the precision land function about 50% of the time. Thanks.

    Vision Sensing

Thanks all for the replies. So I gather that VPS system glitches can cause erratic behavior and in the conditions I'm currently flying in, (specifically open areas over smooth flowing water and bare trees) I really don't need it. I use RTH as a tool for a quick flight path reset, but I prefer...

    Vision Sensing

Thanks for the input. I'm flying a P4 Pro V2, and there are some newer vision system elements, but honestly I haven't compared the P3 and the P4 side by side. It being wintertime, the trees are not dense enough for the vision system to accurately see them, so I try to stay well away. I'm sure...

    Vision Sensing

Thanks for the input. Yep, I'm nearly always in low sun conditions. Didn't know about that one.

    Vision Sensing

I've seen some members mention turning off Vision Sensing. OK, so I have a few hours of flight time under my belt and I've always used everything available in terms of infrared, sonic and visual sensing. I've read the manual cover to cover, and still browsing it, when something is not yet...

    I don’t have 60FPS option [emoji848]

Possibly a setting like others have already mentioned. Check your micro SD card and make sure its UHS-1 quality.

Pretty good place to be, you can fly in your own back yard. I'm just inside the class D for Kalamazoo AZO.

How do you like to learn to fly drones?

Yes. Forgot to mention the Study Guide. Really helps with the situational awareness and a bunch of other important topics..

How do you like to learn to fly drones?

I've gained a lot of valuable knowledge from this forum, and you tube videos are numerous and useful, especially for beginners (like me) ;) Also bought a house drone, which makes these no fly days more interesting and helps me learn to think from the drone's perspective.

Is my sailboat video plan viable?

Frank, I'm also a small boat sailor. Haven't done it in years, but I remember enough that you have your hands full most of the time. I would agree with others who have answered your question who suggest you find someone to fly the drone.

Is my sailboat video plan viable?

Thank you for bringing that to light Fly Dawg. Think you could quote that part of the OP's post for me. I'm learning a lot here.

Is my sailboat video plan viable?

I haven't seen anyone bring up the legal aspect. If the final film is to have any commercial value, dosen't the pilot need a certificate? Sailing a boat is far more complex than driving a car. Yet driving while flying a drone is a violation,(per107) then having someone else fly the drone seems...

Thank you Joe and Rob. Appreciate the comments. Yes, that is my understanding. Commercial covers a lot of ground. As a Freelance photographer, my landscape perspective just got 400 feet higher.
