I was at a computer repair place, there was no output the PC couldn't read the device, and they said my soldering didn't look to good anyway, which I've never done and had no good expectations from.
Thanks for the input, I thoroughly understand the "Davinci overheating" issue now, I just...
I"m at a PC terminal, Sunset Catcher used a command with "COM5" port, the device manager says it is port #0002 but when I use that in the command line is says "path not found'. Not sure what else to call it.
So close yet so far.
Update and assistance request-
I've got all the connections on the board soldered, was following Sunset Catcher's manual but it has commands for windows PC, is there a tutorial or a link for re-flashing the Davinci Chip with a macbook?
I've searched and can't find it, don't know what to do...
Thanks, a "jumper" makes sense but I had never heard of it and it's not mentioned in "parts needed" so I didn't know.
I'm guessing that means I connect them to the board but leave the ends unconnected until I want to short it. I'll give it a go and see what happens.
-Also I'm on a mac, sunset...
-I solder them to the board, then connect the ends together, then back to the board? Then disconnecting the ends would be shorting them?
-If that's the case can I twist the ends together and untwist to short, or do they need to be soldered? It looks like Sunset catchers are attached to other pins.
Thanks for the reply, my issue is they are plugged into something and I don't know what they are plugged in to. I don't what "shorting" the wire means, I infer it must be something very basic but I have no idea, I'm just trying to mimic the steps and I see an image of wires plugged into...
I received the USB-TTl converter, am attempting to re-flash the Davinci chip and have a question from the start. I have sunset catcher's beginner instructions - No image transmission signal - P3P
Probably a dumb question, this is a picture Sunset Catcher provided- I see the USB-TTL converter...
Thanks for the reply, and for the work you have posted on this website, it's very informative. ...I thought it was a longshot, I didn't see where you were from. ...Cheers!
Still waiting on the USB-TTL converter, seems Amazon mis-placed it.
I wanted to ask if there is drone repair here or a suggestion for someone that might do this "Davinci chip re-flash" for a reasonable fee?
My confidence level on soldering is not high.
Hello quaddamage, I have a p3 PRO, need to "re-flash" my DaVinci Chip. I've read the posted instructions and don't think I can make it happen. My question is if it's a relatively simple process, could I send the gimbal board to you and you could re-flash it for a reasonable price? or do you know...
Yep it will, I'm gonna give it a try for sure, step #1 appears to be order the USB-TTL cable and wait for it to arrive before doing anything.
I'm just gonna miss a job scheduled on monday. I've shot for a year with intermittent "no Image" issues due to a darn memory card of all things. now...
I'm just a photographer, this looks like foreign language to me, I'm gonna give it a go but I don't foresee good things happening.
Thanks for the patience getting me to the right place to try it.
Okay thanks, I didn't realized that was clickable. Going there now. Fingers crossed.
hoping I can find this USB-TTL cable in a store and not have to order.
