Yes. You just need to be careful unfortunately DJI has a history of a messed up firmware so as the saying goes if it's not broke, don't fix it.

If your bird operating good then don't bother the update you could be introducing unnecessary problems just FYI.

That depends on ones perspective. If the US military can use predator drones to rain down death and destruction at will then why can't that same technology be used for the better of man. The fact of the matter is it can and it is, the United States is just so far behind in drone technology...
