    What case to buy ?

I use any excuse to post pics of my newest scoot. The drone actually fits well in the tour pack and can't tip over. I usually throw a towel over it in case it bounces. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using PhantomPilots mobile app

Getting my P3S Thursday, quad newbie looking for advice.

I had no troubles with my first P3S out of the box. Just take it easy, make sure you have return to home on and the altitude for that set appropriately, and leave it in beginner mode for a while. And make sure you follow the calibration instructions to the letter. And definitely do not show...

    HOA Issues

Not that this my post adds anything, but when I was looking gor a house I told my realtor no HOAs, period. My gal recently got threatened with a fine from her HOA. The violation? Bird poop on her mailbox. I kid you not. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using PhantomPilots mobile app

    Georgia drone group...?

Sorry about the lack of replies. Life got busy. Regarding what caused the crash...stupid show off pilot trying to impress people and flying it straight into one of the thickest oak trees I've ever seen. Yeah, the stupid pilot would be me. And it's not like I've never seen the tree before - I...

    US FAA Registration

Thank you so much. After killing my first drone I was having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to register my second one. Since I'm a hobbyist I now know just to slap the same number on it as the last one. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using PhantomPilots mobile app

    Full Battery Storage

Disregarding performance, I read something somewhere that said the auto discharge is more for protectiong the batteries from bulging when they're left while charged. Don't ask me the details, I'm no electrical engineer. I don't even play one on TV.

    Any way to balance props?

Brings back memories of my 'gas' powered R/C planes and balancing wood props, lol. I bet one of those balancers would work fine with P3/4 blades but no clue about the Mavic. Are y'all saying those props can't be removed for balancing?

    ADMIN- please read!

I have had zero problems using a mobile device be it from a browser or from the Phantom Pilots app. Sounds like an IOS 10 issue and not a forum issue. Of course, I have an Android device so I'll stay all high and mighty and blame Apple lol

    Georgia drone group...?

Howdy guys, sorry I haven't replied in a while. Killed drone 1, bought a second it came with bad battery....long story short I'm back in business. I am 99.9% certain we can have some drone fun at the Buford American Legion pretty much any time we want. The only caveat is a post member (like...

    Phantom 3 Standard Checklist

I respectfully disagree - not with your thoughts but with the reality of using CSC to shut down an aircraft. I just don't see a pilot recognizing "OMG I'm about to damage someone/something" and using CSC to shut the bird down in time to prevent that damage. When I had my fight with a tree the...

Had a bad crash. DJI doesn't sell P3S parts?!?

Checking back in for anyone following this. So, I got a new replacement and you can bet your azimuth I paid the $129 for DJI Care. As I mentioned, the new aircraft came with a bad battery and DJI told me to return it to the store I bought it from. Mind you, I have two batteries from aircraft...

Wow. Seems like kind of a dumb idea to be able to do that. But thanks for the info.

    Phantom 3 Standard Checklist

Will CSC shut down the motors while it's in the air? I know that holding the 'throttle' down will not - when bringing mine down from high altitude I almost always lock the 'throttle' down. And once I catch it (or land it) I lock it down again and the motors shut off after a second or two.
