    Firmware 1.2.6 update on controller

Nevermind, I got the update to work by using the cable between the gimbal and controller. Guess it's a issue with my card reader. Worked last time, but.... I should be more patient in my old age!

    Firmware 1.2.6 update on controller

Against my better judgment I am updating my firmware to 1.2.6. All was good on the aircraft, but when I placed the SD card in the reader and placed it in the controller then turned on the controller, nothing happened! I tried it 3 times, checked the card in my PC and no messages. I am using the...

    Loctite Warning

I feel kinda stupid, I used the 242 once when I did my prop guards. Guess I need to order a shell to have in standby!

Camera taking in to much light

ND and Polarizing filters are what is needed. There are several threads here. I'm waiting on my set from PolarPro but some are selling the gel filters that can be placed in with the stock UV filter.

Killer RC Gimbal Saver for P3

In a crash it will help keep the gimbal and camera from separating to protect the delicate ribbon cable. I have heard that repair can be very costly.

Killer RC Gimbal Saver for P3

I have it and it was simple, much better looking than some of the alternatives.

6 Day Wait to Fly...very disappointed

I would try a test shot while it's on the ground and engines off. Preferably at something that has a lot of detail like a dollar bill. Make sure it is perpendicular to the lens. Then you can rule out vibration and motion. If it's not clear on the ground and stable then you might have a problem...

Catching your drone - is that a good idea?

Just learning, but I do about 50/50. If it's fairly calm I usually practice several landings while I'm out flying. When I'm done I practice hand catching. I always let it hover about 30 seconds or so to make sure it's stable and above my head. I then do the hand catch grabbing the gear with my...

How many woman are buying and flying these quads?

I bought my P3 for the photographic side, but flying it is a blast also!

Possibility of removing the gimbal/camera safely

I removed my camera for the first few flights, there was a YouTube video I watched and learned how. You have to remove the rubber mounts then gently unplug the ribbon cables holding the connector ends and not pulling on the cable itself. Then either remove the mount or not as desired. If you...

Crash Resulted in Cracked Camera Glass - Need Advice

You might try getting a UV filter at some place like Best Buy ( if you have them where you are) or Amazon. Just get it well oversized and maybe they could cut that for you. I would think the thickness should be similar. Don't scrimp too much as the filter can affect image quality if the glass is...

Crash Resulted in Cracked Camera Glass - Need Advice

I'm just a noob flyer but have been doing photography for a long time. I believe the front glass is a UV filter and I would say not totally needed in digital photography. A lot of photographers use them for lens protection which would be important for aerial photography IMO. I would say a high...

    Old Fart Fliers.

Just finished the entire thread, makes me very nostalgic! I'm 61 and have always loved photography. Have major nerve problems in my feet now and can't make the hikes to the areas I like to photograph, so I thought I'd give this a try. Bought a little Hubsan 107C to see if I could fly one, was...
