Always had interest in drones but work kept me too busy for the time to buy and use a drone. Out of work for bit of time with illness. Bought first drone from a Craigslist listing. Paid $100 for a Phantom 2 with a 3DHD gimbal, GoPro camera, transmitter and a field view display screen mountred on controller.
The drone was listed as having issues, kept going into return to home mode. After changing the firmware, rewiring the video downlink, etc. drone worked perfectly.
Following that started looking on Facebook, Offerup, Ebay, etc. looking for people selling Phantoms with problems that could be had for lot less then if fully working.
Have always liked the Phantom drone. Currently have 8 and always looking for next deal or donation.
