Andy9....The water mine went into was muddy river water. It was submerged for almost 24 hours until the water receded and I could get to it. It was also frozen when I got to it due to the time of year. I did everything that was recommended on the forums but nothing survived as far as electronics.
I had the same misfortune while trying to photograph geese in a flooded river bottom (not salt water). One blade glanced a tree branch and down it went.....and as you well know drones do no float! Opened it up and followed all the directions I could find in cleaning and drying it. It was dead as...
I tried Master Airscrew props just because I wanted to, plus they are cheaper and come in different colors (which doesn't matter to me) Master Airscrew has been making props for RC planes etc for years so I trust them. So far, am satisfied with their products. I also use a PowerExtra battery and...
Thanks for the informative video! I too have been pointing the antennae directly at the drone thinking that was correct. That explains my video breaking up occasionally. (I'm no "pro", just an old photographer messing around with drones!) :)
I personally don't quite understand all the uproar about Reclaim Drones. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but even I figured out that they were NOT affiliated with the FAA and that there were three stickers (which I received) and that only one would have my phone number on it. I have never...
I reset my Fire HD8 tablet back to factory and started over with it. No change. Guess I have to go back to using my Galaxy S7, which at this time, still works with DJI GO. I bought the tablet just for the P3S. It did, however, work great for the last 2 years.
I have a somewhat related question. I have been flying my P3S for about 2 1/2 years using an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet with no issues. As a matter of fact I just flew it about a month ago no problem. Then last week I was going to fly it and the DJIGO app wouldn't open. I tried the normal stuff...
I have been flying my P3S for about 3 years and have seen the posts about the flight simulator. When I click on the upper right 3 lines the only thing that shows up is Academy, and Flight Restriction Info. not Tutorial.
I have not being flying very long, but have found the easiest launch pad for me is the back seat floor mat from my van. I don't have to "remember" to bring it and it is heavy enough to stay in place. Plus if someone runs over it, no problem. Just my two cents.
I too am new to drones and editing. I wish I had the great scenery where I live here in northwest Ohio, that you have there! The video looks pretty good for first time to me. One side note......be careful flying over water! I was flying over flood water in the bottom ground behind our house to...
