I found having the phantom upside-down gave me better access to the lens. Initially i used a rubber band to help grip the lens and used a gentle twist. It seems like the more pressure you use the harder it is to unscrew. Everytime after i dont need the band. Hope that helps.

Hi not sure if you have decided yet... but another option is kogan.com.au. thats where i bought mine from. They are an authorized dealer in Melbourne so for warranties it would be easier to handle. Also they give you an opiton to extend the warranty to 3 yrs..

I have only just started using filters but from what i understand its best to try and have your shutter speed at least twice as much as your fps. So for 20fps you would set the shutter speed to 1/40. I have only had a chance to try this once so far with 1080p 60fps with shutter speed at 120...
Performing an imu calibration is different to a compass calibration. My understanding is the IMU calibration "zero's' everything to keep it level etc. This only really needs to be done before first ever flight out of box ,after firmware updates or after a crash. Some have even said they skip...
I left mine on 1.1.9 for a couple of months, it flew well enough and gave me heaps of time to practice etc. I was waiting for the new features before i bothered updating.
Updated to 1.4 recently and its even better to fly now with all of the new features.
It works both ways I have read, but personally I just spent the extra 25mins just for peace of mind and also practice updating firmware. I did my update at night so I wasn't flying it anytime soon.
