To answer your question, I bought a working one last summer for $250 CAD (about $190 US) don't expect more for one that you can't test fly.

    transport canada recency requirements

No one has had a license long enough to need recertification yet. When it gets closer to time I am sure they will let us know what training programs qualify.

Winter - don't waste the opportunity - suggestions to solve cold issues ...

For sure. Wool comes off a sheep, or maybe a goat, alpaca or llamma. Not from a plastics manufacturer. Synthetics are better than cotton though. Cotton just absorbs sweat and holds it close to you making you cold again.

Winter - don't waste the opportunity - suggestions to solve cold issues ...

Tapping at the door? She's already here in the Toronto area. It was -17C yesterday. It looks like a snow globe outside. ☃️ ...and I couldn't be happier. I have been waiting for this all summer. As an outdoors enthusiast who actually prefers the winter, let me add to your suggestions...

How did these lasers take down this drone?

yeah, any strong enough laser will kill an optical sensor. With no data coming from the collision sensors and no camera it is quite possible that the drone would crash, especially if the operator is out of LOS.

    Wow, any comments?

Ken is usually entertaining, but I can't believe how reckless he was being with the laser. Kids watch that. It doesn't even matter if there was no laser and it was all done as special effects. Kids watch his show. Kids don't get that there may be things he has done to ensure safety that you...

I crashed my Phantom 3 Pro today

Torx T6 is the size you need. I picked up a little cell phone repair kit at Lowes and I just keep it in my backpack with the Phantom. The kit I bought has all the small Torx and Phillips sizes and a few others like security hex (for the ones on other devices with the pin in the middle to keep a...

Phantom 3 limp gimbal and gyroscope error

Following this because my P3S gimbal went limp for a week and no troubleshooting I did helped, but then it "fixed" itself on the next flight. I want to figure out the root cause. I did not have a gyroscope issue though.

Do you think a Drone could never fall from the sky and hit someone? Guess again......

When did I say I was exempt from accidents? I said The company drone pilots are not exempt from accidents. Lessons learned is about analyzing what happened and coming up with ways to prevent recurrence. 'It wasn't our guy it was someone else, make sure all flights are done through our...

Do you think a Drone could never fall from the sky and hit someone? Guess again......

For sure. What kind of lessons learned was that? It wasn't our drone. Next time they should use our drone. BS. Yes the Duke drone pictured above is an octocopter which is much less likely to crash with an engine or prop failure, but if they think the problem was that it was an outside contactor...

    Labels for drone exterior

I've seen some cheap label tape, but my experience is primarily with the Brother TZ (plastic) labels. If they are applied to smooth/semi-smooth plastic, glass, or metal They stay for years. They don't like to be bent, so if you want to wrap it around a wire it is best to stick it to itself...
