Congrats Adam, on a job well done. Nothing like letting your baby spread its wings and soar. This sites was great for me when I was first researching this hobby. Thanks so much for all you have done. And thanks to the great community, especially in the early days.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I expected this kind of ingenuity to emerge when the p2v first came to market, but it seems like it took a while for the tinkering to really get going. Now it seems the gates are starting to open, though they aren't exactly flood gates, I'm glad to see...
If you're asking about using the kindle fire for the p2v, I can confirm that it does work. The dji app wasn't in the amazon app store, but I was able to install it by downloading an app called 1 mobile market, or this other one called black market. Both those apps, allow you to install apps...
Another gimble has shown up. 250 euro. Added to original post also. Very drone expert like.

Re: 3rd Vision gimble in testing
Found another test video of this mysterious vision gimble. They certainly don't offer any details, but there's bound to be some news about it somewhere.

You flew in the rain? Not to mention several other things you had mentioned (camera stopped working). I know how much fun these are to fly, but it appears to me your Phantom was experiencing several alarming symptoms prior to the crash. I'm new to this, but since there is very little...
No additional detail beyond the videos, but it looks like a decent competitor, assuming its still in the early stages of testing. I'm just hoping that this turns up the heat enough on drone experts, and rotorpixel to start an all out pricing war.
