Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

This is not my first time with BGA... I assume it was the hit that dislodged the NC pads from the board and then they came up with the chip. The only thing that I can think is that it may have been a little too hot but I doubt it since I have not damaged one before @quaddamage that datasheet...

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

Little update on the unit.. I pulled the NAND chip off the board and sure enough I could just break the chip across the little half moon shape. There were also a whole bunch of pads that came up with it. I actually referenced them with the datasheet for the memory and it looks like all of them...

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

I repair automotive electronics. People send stuff in (be it an ECU or a window switch) and I'll fix it and send it back. Most things are from mechanics directly. Easier that way haha

We order loads of stuff from E14 each day so always over the free shipping cutoff

I can not need a mark on the plastic cover. Maybe it has been replaced. Do you have a spare NAND chip? I'd rather not order from Digi as their shipping times are not fantastic.. I have found a similar chip on E14 Order code 3129217

Yes, I have had the drone flying and they do save to SD He said that it wasn't crashed but it must have as the NAND is cracked. There is also a small crack in the end of one of the arms (which points to a crash also)

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

I cleaned the NAND chip and it is broken. This seems to be the opposite of what the seller said. He put "Has not been crashed" but I can't imagine the NAND breaking in the same half moon shape without physically getting hit.. Ah well, I can now stop wasting my time and will try to source...

I will continue to try and flash uboot today and if still no luck then tomorrow I will attempt NAND reball

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

It could be possible that the chip is physically damaged. I have looked at it closely and doesn't LOOK damaged but I know it could have sustained a hit. I bought the whole drone on trademe for cheap with this issue. The moisture sensor is red so that could mean something too...

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

My power supply is capable of supplying 3A but it only draws max 700ma. My cables are questionable - they are pretty long. I am currently using my own laptop but I tried the same steps two days ago on my work laptop with the same results. I will try my desktop shortly. It is not easy to shorten...

Fixing flash in DM365 chip within Ph3 Pro gimbal

I have uploaded a video of what I am doing here: Alternatively I can change some resistors to demote the unit to P3H but I don't know which.. Thanks, Reuben
