Ipad mini 2 - green screen, drop outs , grey pixellated

Since the latest firmware on the P4 pro (jan 4 i updated) my ipad mini 2 is terrible to fly with. The ipad has been used heaps tor the last year and a half as my display on a Phantom 3 advanced. lag is about 3 seconds and picture drops out to green and grey pixellated screens on the ipad...

My first real job, any advice?

or treat this as a learning experience to understand how to put together a complete production - with a view to charging full price for others down the track when you have your skills dialled. Its a lot more work but a challenge can be good. Just be wary of operators (usually dodgy event...

My first real job, any advice?

Aerials are just part of a story telling tool kit- shoot aerials for half an hour max. get an intro from an organiser/ spokesperson"welcome to the xxx fun ride here in town x spinsored by x- to raise awareness for x". use a shotgun mic with a windshield, get in close. get 5 pre and post race...

2.7 k is the sweet spot!

"turn down the settings" -? what does that mean - use less color to preserve data / avoid macroblocking perhaps? Does that actually work?

2.7 k is the sweet spot!

I was looking at my footage at home on my UHD 4k tv - the 2.7k looks amazing. I think its the sweet spot for Bit rate vs resolution. 4k is nice but a little bit under "bit rated" at 60mbs. I reckon i will be shooting 2.7k going forwards.

    P3 battery - 41 cycles - voltage dies at 46%

Ok I got a final result Just as final conclusion and heads up to anyone that has a similar issue I deep cycled the battery to 5 %, put it in the fridge to cool it down for 5 minutes and then recharged to 100% (actually it only went to 97% - so some understandable wear and tear on the battery...

    P3 battery - 41 cycles - voltage dies at 46%

Batteries are all good at higher charge levels - behaving as expected. I have regularly flown partially charged batteries as i often have jobs that require multiple location 5 minute shoots - this is the first time I have been caught out.

    P3 battery - 41 cycles - voltage dies at 46%

Thanks for the tip I am doing that now - will recharge battery and go flying....and see what happens. I nearly got caught out as I took off with 50 % battery expecting to be good for a 5 minute sortie - luckily the P3 wasnt over water or trees when the sudden voltage drop happened. everything...

    P3 battery - 41 cycles - voltage dies at 46%

Hi Guys, Has Anyone had any success bringing a battery "back from the dead" ? I have 2 batteries - each with 41 cycles on them. Battery #1 just started dropping voltage fast at about 46% capacity. I watch the cells in the go app (battery window open) mid flight and the cells suddenly drop...

The Phantom 3 Advanced Real World Imaging Review

For those that don't know... The pro gives you 4K and a faster charger over the advanced. 4 k is super handy for pulling 8 mp still from any frame of video. It would be super interesting if dji offered a camera upgrade option for p3 advanced owners down the track. Especially if they can...

The Phantom 3 Advanced Real World Imaging Review

thanks for your comments and question i have been shooting 4k on a gh4 for over a year now. (almost on a daily basis) 4k does make for better 1080. but i have found its not dramatically better. only pixel peeper better. the margin gets even smaller once web compression has ocurred. for me it...

The Phantom 3 Advanced Real World Imaging Review

Hi All, Long time lurker - first time poster. I have been flying an F450 for a couple of years and recently got a P3 Advanced. I went to a lot of effort to put together a real world imaging review - after about 5 drafts i finally came up with something i am half happy with. Many of you will...
