    Pray for Australia

A very nice video and it took me back to when I was working for the Nationals TV networks. I shot from start to finish Australia's biggest ever bush fire. Luckily it was confined to the Pilliga scrub so now lives were lost. Actually I think maybe the most recent bushfires must have sutpassed...

I Predict a Major Shift In Global Commercial/ Consumer Drone Industry Leadership Within 5 Years

Has anyone watched The Walking Dead? There's a guy in it who sound's just like BigNutz. I'm just an ignorant Aussie living in the bush and all I managed to get out of this was, he's talking about jail and "busting rocks" How that ties in with DJI and flying quadcopters I don't know, perhaps I...

    CHECK THIS OUT BOYS

Auto rotation, now that brings back memories. During my training as a Petty Officer in the RAN, we spent a complete day fighting fires, BIG fires. Throughout the day all we could hear, apart from Instructors, were large SeaKing Chopper pilots practising take off and landing. Just as we were...

    CHECK THIS OUT BOYS

I was so impressed with this machine I purchased the simulator. It's the c;osest I'll ever get to sitting in one and flying it. You must admit it was a fantastic step forward in domestic flying. I imagine there's be a lot of people going on diets so they can not only fit in it, but also from...

Wondering if this is not right

I agree with Ian. Loosen off those screws and it should allow you to push it back inplace. Leaving the shell with all the screws tensioned may permanently leave a mark, as would poking something in there to put it right.Take the tension off first. Good luck.

Propeller guards - yay or nay?

If you wish to use them, use them. There does appear to be those who wish to dictate who can doe what, when and how. Ignore them, let them laugh. I use them, just in case. Try flying into a brick wall backwards without prop guards and see what happens, a smashed prop and probably a smashed quad...

Crashed and destroyed my drone and the valuable lessons I learned.

I logged onto a site which was able to fix your video, https://fix.video They gave me a preview of it, but they wanted me to pay to download it. The repair job looked spot on and definitely showed your Windmill. The funny thing is they advertise as a free service and then demand money to...

    Shortened propeller. Please advise.

Don't you hate that? Someone asks a question and doesn't even bother to acknowledge the guys helping him, let alone a thank you. My usual thought is that it's a youngster, but in this case it isn't. It's almost impossible to get a please or thank you out of them these days. In fact it's often...

    Shortened propeller. Please advise.

One other matter to consider, the crash could have damaged the the hub of the prop. It could be a hairline crack which is invisible to a cursory glance. Flying the quad with such a crack could result in the prop breaking during flight and you'll end up with far more damage. You may be able to...

Did you try to find the owner of the P4 prior to trying to sell it?

Man hits baby in the face with drone

Don't forget: Even though you can kill power to the props, simply falling to Earth will make the props turn. If the distance to Earth is sufficient, those props could be spinning fast enough to cause further injury to the unlucky and innocent bystander.

    Hello from Australia

Hi Acecom, Enjoy your flying while you can mate. In a dew months our fantastic Government will kill the quadcopter hobby with their new laws. Unless you're flying on a sanctioned RC Airfield, flying something under 250 grams or flying indoors, you''ll be expected to pass an on-line exam...

Phantom 1 doesn't go through check

RTH is simple. Switch off your controller. The quad will notice it's lost it's signal and start it's return to home.

    Prop guards YES or NO

Strange, nobody mentioned "Other people's safety" Prop guards help you avoid hurting innocent bystanders should your quad suddenly decide to hurtle downward into someone. I wonder if the young guy who had his carotid artery severed and died when a wayward quad crashed into him as he walked...

    Integrated Camera/Gimbal On A Phantom FC40

Yes, you can fit a gimbal and GoPro to the P1. You can also modify the P1 Controller to adjust the gimbal during flight. I purchased a cheap 2 axis gimbal from China and used a GoPro 3 Black. The other P1 I have still uses the FC40.
