test your batteries, they might be on their way out. 3.6 volts per cell is as low as I take mine, otherwise you can do irreversible damage.

That's what I'm assuming (it will work), but I wonder if the servo will harm anything vs a small gimbal motor.

I was going to do the same thing, but changed my mind, and here is why. My buddy (who also flies helicopters) uses his DX7S on his Blade 350QX, is constantly trying to remember which channel he assigned to the modes of his quad, and twice he put it in the dirt because a wrong switch choice...

I put new ones in and its fine. I thought I read somewhere that the low voltage signal was indicated by a flashing led on the tx.

Not being a tight wad, I'm just wondering if this is the low voltage signal.

My Tx begins to make a beeping sound about 30 seconds into a flight. Is this the alarm telling me to replace the four AA's? Batteries are around four months old, red LED is not blinking and cannot find any info in the manual or on line.

I think DJI does not offer this feature, simply to keep costs down, they now have a ton of quad manufacturers competing for top sales. Adding this feature (which most recreational flyers would not understand or use) would place the Phantom in a higher purchase price bracket, and sales would...
