I am in Virginia (smack dab middle of the winter storm) and flew in 30kt winds today. Probably won't do it again. I had to fight to bring it back upwind to land it. You can see a quick upload I did of it here:
And to answer Nemo, I fly over the water all the time. Very low interference...
You're not joking... I sat there on black friday with both the Pro and Standard in my shopping cart haha, but I knew the pain of explaining to my wife that I bought a $1100 drone wasn't worth it... easier to sneak by smaller purchases such as this ;)
That's a fair point! The DBS Mods (ITElite) extends both the 2.4 and 5.8 ghz signals right? I can't find where it explicitly says this anywhere on their website, and I would think the antennas would need to be different lengths, though they look wholly contained inside the DBS panel.
Has anyone tested both yet? I researched this with results only appearing for the P3P, but the consensus I found was that the FPVLR while significantly more directional, did result in overall better range. Wondering the results are the same for the P3S? At $150 though, the FPVLR would have to be...
This setup look awesome, but at the price of these things on Amazon (and the DBSMods antenna package), why not just sell your P3S and get a ADV or Pro?
Right... but we're talking about the app, not the radio. The Pro/Advanced/Standard ALL use the same DJI app; so logic would suggest another app would also be useable on all 3
Oh that's a good question I'm not sure. They are the same from a software perspective so I don't know why it wouldn't unless the developer just didn't want it.
Gotcha just making sure. Wonder if this would way outperform a windsurfer antenna such as this: DJI Phantom 3 Standard- Controller/ Antenna Range Booster ~ Windsurfer
Anyone have any feedback of the DBS P3S mod yet?
But DBS is the one who makes the version that is purpose-modified for the P3S right? The one from Itelite is still primarily for the old Visions I think.
Nice and congratulations! I'm going to use my Nexus 6p running android... 5.7" screen so we'll see how it goes. I love android for this kind of thing (also you can use the Litchi app - google it).
The "fly-away" is an issue with improper calibrations, though I'm sure multiple things cause...
