Happened to me too. I was told straight up that I should just buy a new controller. They are, apparently, disposable. I would assume that a $300 replacement controller will be just as susceptible to this problem. It would be nice if they admitted what is wrong so that those of us capable of SMD...
Might want to isolate the amps & controller with a choke or small resistor in series and a big electrolytic and small ceramic cap to ground.

Aren't the connections full duplex? If you need a connection both directions, how does amping just one of the signals increase the range? Wouldn't the range be limited by the un-amped drone?
