    Drone highlights 2023

Thank you! Yes, the older and more outdated the P4P gets, the more satisfaction I get from showcasing its still-formidable capabilities.

    Drone highlights 2023

Another year with the Phantom 4 - my sixth. I've recently started flying an Avata, and while it has opened a whole new range of possibilities, it's certainly no replacement for the Phantom. All of my published videos last year happened to be of locations in my home town of Melbourne and state...

    Return to home

During RTH your drone won't descend to a lower preset elevation before returning. However, as the previous responder mentioned, it will return in a straight (horizontal) line. So, if you lost contact after flying behind a peak, chances are it will hit the peak as it tries to return.

Regulations for maximum altitude in areas with sloping terrain?

Happy to help. If you're referring to the figure in the app under 'Set max flight altitude', I think this setting defaults to 120m, but you can enter any number you like between 20m and 500m. The drone won't let you exceed 500m above your launch elevation, no matter how close to the ground you...

Regulations for maximum altitude in areas with sloping terrain?

Yes, that wouldn't make sense. However, the restriction is 120 metres above the surface directly below the drone, not above the launch elevation.
