    Phantom highlights - 2024

Thanks, again. Yes, having a built-in screen is much simpler. I also use goggles - which allow me to get low and close without crashing. I manually colour-correct, using my editing software, PowerDirector 2024.

    Phantom highlights - 2024

Many thanks. I have my eye on an Air3s as an eventual replacement for the P4.

    Phantom highlights - 2024

Thanks. Yes, we're spoiled for scenery here, although there can be a bit of a drive to get to it. I fly a Phantom 4 Pro v2. I shoot in 4K and use the D-Cinelike colour profile which, of course, requires colour correcting.

    Phantom highlights - 2024

Yes, I know it's August 2025! My procrastinating self only just managed to pull this together, my annual 'highlights' video for last year. It's a labour of love: Compilation videos like this are time-consuming to edit and almost no-one, outside of a few of my die-hard subscribers on YouTube...

Is it worth replacing missing controller and batteries for DJI Phantom 4

Don't download anything from Play Store. Get the genuine DJI GO 4 app from DJI's website.

Is it worth replacing missing controller and batteries for DJI Phantom 4

You could probably source a controller and two after-market batteries for under USD200. That sounds worthwhile to me. You've flown it before, so you know the drone's short-comings. If it suits your needs, then why not?

    Powers Lookout

    Many thanks.

    Powers Lookout

Thanks. Although one of my gripes with the P4 is that I've never been able to get smooth yaw at speed. I have to slow down to ensure smooth turns, and even then if there's a bit of wind around, it can still be inconsistent. You can see towards the start of the video that my leftward yaw is a...

    Powers Lookout

Yeah, there's nothing stealthy about the Phantom. Noise-wise, however, my Avata - with its higher pitch, is probably worse... or at least more irritating.

    Powers Lookout

And for something different, here's a video. :-) Not seeing many video posts these days. I was planning to upgrade, but bought an Avata instead - which is no replacement for the Phantom. Feels like there aren't too many of us still flying this bird. Powers Lookout is in Victoria, Australia...

    P4P v1 Gimble Settings

You say in your initial post that your gimbal continues to move after you stop input, yet at the same time you want slow movement without abrupt stoppage. One produces the other - it is that very continuation of movement that gets you the smooth response you seek. You need exceptional...
