was this fixed via an update or should I stay away from a certain version of the camera if buying a used one?

I was going to pull the trigger on a new Gopro3+ black but I've read some reviews that say the 3 stays pin tack focus from 3' to infinity but the 3+ has a length from about 3-15'. Any experience or thought on this?

I have a week old Vision 2 + that I'm parting out, the camera assembly is junk but everything else is in like new shape. It has prop guards on it also. Message me with any offers, I'm keeping the battery for my other one.
