Time to part with my dad's nicely upgraded but almost never flown P4...
Here's what you get:
- Phantom 4
- 3 batteries, 2 of which have less than 5 hours of flights. All in perfect condition
- Motos have been upgraded with quick release system
- The remote has been upgraded with Titan's long...
Hi withthebirds - thanks for the info. I respect your opinion but won't get into this debate at this point... people can read up, read what DJI recommends and make their minds up. One thing I'll absolutely agree with: all this stuff applies to LiPo batts (which the vast majority of DJI drones...
Hi guys,
It is actually necessary to cycle DJI batteries. As mentioned correctly above this doesn't have anything to do with the lipos themselves (actually, full discharging is bad for them) but has everything to do with how much battery your drone thinks it has. But I'll disagree with...
Just finished taking some artsy photos of the Angel and just had to share :)

Hey Wayne, thanks for the vote of confidence :)
To be honest apart from the discussion above I get loads of great feedback constantly (which is what motivates me to keep the project going actually). I've recently started posting it on the facebook page:
Security Check Required
Also, Lynh Phan...
Hya, yes, same principle - i.e. use a load (in this case a halogen bulb) to discharge the battery. Where it gets interesting is how you control the discharge, when you stop discharging and what modes you offer.
Hya - indeed, the bulb gets insanely hot (its got so much power to use up!. The manual includes the required warning plus, trust me, 2 seconds after it start you can feel the heat from a meter away. Its actually the same level of heat as the old school 100W filament bulbs we all used to have in...
Hey RodeoGeorge,
The difference is the enclosure. The Pro version has a larger, more rugged aluminium enclosure and corresponding heavy duty push button. The idea is that if you use it a lot and use it when traveling it'll be more robust. Plus it looks super cool :)
For everyone else's info...
Justin a lot of people find there's a value in a device like the Angel. Some feel they don't want to be wearing their motors and ESCs for battery cycling, a lot of people who use the Phantom or Inspire professionally want a way to discharge unused batteries for storage, others want to know that...
Hey guys,
Today we hit a milestone and I just couldn't resist sharing... All the components are here, end to end testing is done and the very first pair of Angels (v2) are ready! The rest to follow.
Here's a photo of the Phantom Angel and its big brother the Inspire Angel.
For those who've...
Thanks Stile :) It is true... these bulbs are very very easy to replace.
But also thanks Sparky for pointing this out for everyone. Indeed, halogen bulbs should be handled with gloves or a tissue paper and if you do happen to touch them its best to clean them with alcohol to remove any skin...
