This exact thing happened to me today. Brand new P3P, only 4 flights (all ok until now). Only thing changed was DJI Pilot app which I upgraded to 1.2.0 before this flight. I selected auto take-off and immediately after take-off, it plunged down to gravel, flipped upside down and ran motors until...
I received my P3P today and after charging the batteries I immediately updated the firmware to the latest. Then IMU calibration, gimbal auto calibration and compass calibration. No issues at all. Rock solid steady and flying like a dream.
How about having an option at waypoint to do 360 and take a set of overlapping images at the same time automatically. Or flying a leg backwards/reverse. Or being able to define a POI and while P2V flies within 100 meters range it would keep this POI fixed with camera.
And why it isn't possible...
Thank you very much guys!
With your guidance I was able to build my own pitch servo cable and had my first successful flight with this great gimbal. What a great feeling to see stabilized video! This is going to be so fun :D
This is excellent news! I think I have couple of those in my DJI cable pack. Now, one more question, which connector on RPG control board should I connect and what is the pin assignment i.e. which way should those two wires be?
Where do I plug this P2V servo cable? Directly to RP gimbal control board? Because there's no cable coming from the RP gimbal where I could connect P2V servo cable.
I'm talking about installation instruction number 14.
Should there be cable?
Finally received my RPG today, BUT
NO cable (pitch) to connect RPG control board to P2V!! WTF?
Feeling a bit frustrated
EDIT: I have the DJI cable pack. Can I use one of the cables there and if yes, where do I connect it on RPG?
#2404 finally cleared customs and now another three days of snail mail. It's a loooong wait from February but I promised to wait patiently. But it seems I'm finally flying with gimbal this weekend (fingers crossed that it comes in one piece).
