    UK CAA Registration

The point is to make the 400ft rule enforceable. PfCO or not, up until now there's been nothing stopping you going above 400ft, it was only a recommendation up until now. By making it illegal, it should make people think twice about going above 400ft. It's mainly about updating the law to...

    UK CAA Registration

You've misunderstood. The rules are you can't fly within 1km of an airport at all, and not above 400ft anywhere else. The main purpose is to make sensible limits that once could legally be exceeded laws. This adds a little bit more incentive for people to follow them. Unless someone is...

    UK drone insurance?

I thought you couldn't do that for your OE any more as the CAA require you to have at least 6 months insurance when you apply for your PfCO? Or have they changed it again?

    Problems with Android 7.0

Android 7 warns you if the Wi-Fi you're connected to doesn't have Internet access, but in this case you're connecting to a device that doesn't provide Internet access, so you can just ignore that message.

    Some views of North Wales

Thanks. They're all places we go to at least a couple of times a year. Was nice to have the good weather. Bygone era is very appropriate for Dinas Dinlle - I remember a time when it wasn't signposted and very few people knew about it, which meant it was always nice and quiet. Nowadays it's...

    Some views of North Wales

I took my mum to North Wales yesterday for Mother's Day and I took my P3S to try and get some nice shots. It was a beautiful day, and I managed to get some pretty good shots I think...

YES! Good weather in the UK!!!

Aha, yes I have been researching about this. National Trust are so backwards on this. Not to mention all the reasons they list on their site quote inaccurate CAA rules. I spoke to them once and they said after the drone consultation that ended on the 15th, they may be "reviewing" their drone...

    P3 Standard Gimbal noise

Yeah they're great. And they certainly beat the price of Polarpro filters.

    P3 Standard Gimbal noise

It's an ND filter. It did it before I got the filter and I had calibrated it without it and it still made the noise. The presence of the ND filter makes absolutely no difference to the noise.

    P3 Standard Gimbal noise

Hi all, Since I got my P3S about 2 months ago, I have noticed my gimbal makes a noise (as though the motor is struggling) when it rotates to the left (so as the craft yaws right). It doesn't do this when it rotates to its right. I have mostly ignored this up until now because it didn't appear...
