Thanks for your advice. I think it was my lack of knowledge of how to import the files into iMovie that was the problem. Seems to be working now.

Thanks for your reply, very well put! I think I will get a few more miles out of my P3S which keeps the wife from asking her usual question of 'why do you need this new xxxxx'? Substitute xxxxx with drone, mac, iPad or any number of other stuff I get unrealistically enthusiastic about.
