I have carried my p4p in its case as carry on baggage with Air Asia. Cebu Pacific and PAL airlines out an into Australia with no issues. The Lipo should be carry on in a proper protection bag.
Hi Falun, I am just reading your post now and you may have resolved your issue. I had a similar problem after updating the firmware on the controller of the p4p plus. I took the craft flying and nothing happening in the map box. I connected the quad to the dji go app and an update was required...

I have a P4P plus model and it seems the Epson BT-300 are not compatible. I had been hoping Epson maybe had made an adapter to suit the plus model. I am regretting this plus hand controller...
Hi if you only recently purchased the Phantom, there maybe no previous update as you have not performed any. Others here might offer more advice to you.
