Hi people - I just got a Phantom 3 Advanced for Christmas

Welcome to the group and welcome to the wonderful world of drone flying. Please dont be afraid to ask questions and remember the only stupid question is the one you dont ask! Litchi is the answer to your question for planning and executing waypoint flights https://flylitchi.com/

Nice smooth flying, love the video! I have invested heavily in batteries and am up to 6 to maximise flying time when there is decent weather :-)

Very weather dependent is drone flying unfortunately so I tend to always make sure my batteries are fully charged in case I get a clear slot in the weather :-)

Can I fly Mavic Mini where Phantom 4 was restricted?

Dont be silly, flight restrictions are flight restrictions regardless of the size of drone.

Am I really not allowed to fly a drone over farmland?

And then the Police get called and the whole mess ends up in local newspaper and drone fliers get even more negative press which leads to more rules and regulations enforced on us.

    Guess what i forgot ?‍♂️

For me it was always batteries! The amount of times I have reached where I want to fly opened my bag and OH **** no batteries!!

Well fellow fliers it's the 1st of December so I hope you remembered to take the test, pay your £9 and get your registration number:-)

Am I really not allowed to fly a drone over farmland?

Technically he IS correct... Sort of... If he owns the land and objects to you flying over it the best thing to do is apologise, land and fly elsewhere rather than it turning ugly. He doesnt own the airspace above the land but if he calls the Police they will more than likely ask you to move...

Hi from not so sunny plymouth, UK

Good luck, I live in Wales and get far more no fly days than fly days! End of the month is fast approaching, did you do your CAA registration and pay your 9 quid?
