Updated firmware on both the bird and controller, updated the Android app to 1.2 - still the same - lags and then freezes. Pretty disappointing.

So, got a new P3P and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 16GB tablet. I downloaded the DJI Pilot app directly from DJI, not the Google app store. Every time I fly, the longer I fly, the slower and choppier the FPV gets until ultimately, the app just hangs. I close the app and kill it completely and...

Overdue update - I got my Phantom back from DJI after seven - yes - seven weeks. They determined the WiFi unit in the bird was bad and replaced it - I'm back in the air with no more issues.

So here's the latest. DJI told me to sent it to their LA office. I did - it arrived on August 25. It sat in limbo until September 19 when it was finally checked in and placed into the repair queue. I called on 9/25, since they have not responded to two inquiries via their repair ticket...

Nope - DJI gave me an RMA - getting ready to ship it to LA.

No luck. I downgraded everything - nothing. Re-upgraded everything - nothing. Installed the Android app on my wife's phone - nothing. Called DJI yesterday - suggested re-binding the camera. Did that - nothing. So...official word from DJI? Send it in. Right now - four week turnaround. Yikes.

Interesting. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, rebooting my phone in between. I have not tried it again after force-updating the bird again. I powered off the bird multiple times in the process. I assume that's what you mean by rebooting, unless there is another process I am not...

So...my DJI Vision app on my Verizon Galaxy S4 updated to V1.0.52 and said the bird needed updating as did the Phantom 2 Vision Assistant. On my WIn 7 machine, I downloaded Vision Assistant 3.2, which then updated the bird with V3.06 for the autopilot system and V1.0.1.32 for the central board...

After upgrading to the new version on my phone (Galaxy S4), and all the Phantom 2 Vision+ recent updates, I get a black screen when I connect to my camera. I uninstalled the DJI Vision software from my phone, rebooted, and am now getting the Request Timeout, just like you. Not. Happy.

My P2V+ arrived without the maintenance kit described in the manual. I e-mailed DJI and waited - about a week. I got a reply asking for my address so they could send it to me. I replied. About three days later, I got a response closing the incident as the parts were sent. A few days later...

Thanks for all the input everyone. This is what I thought, but figured I'd ask the experts. I guess I could see it as an emergency maneuver, to get down in a hurry, but wow - you would sure be taking a chance if the restart didn't get you to a correct flight attitude before the sudden stop at...

OK - I'm sure this must have been asked before, but I have not been able to find an answer. If you kill the motors in flight, and have sufficient altitude, can you restart them and recover? This is more of a theoretical question that a practical one, but for curiosity's sake... Say your...
