I have the Storm Easy FPV (US$249), the monitor mount, while it works, the bolt that secures the monitor to the bracket is hard to tighten, and the screen still turns. I have just ordered a mounting bracket that mounts to the neck strap bolt, and have also ordered cloverleaf antennas.

There is nothing wrong with doing it this way (come out bad, is probably not the best way to describe it), it's just that I like to shoot my video in 60fps to give a smoother result. In simultaneous mode, you can only shoot @ 30fps at 12mb image.

If you have a FPV setup, you can see everything even if you are not recording. The FPV will show all the info you see on your GoPro. Also on my setup, when a setup to take time lapse photos, the screen blinks like a shutter to show when it is taking a photo. Hope that helps.

Hey Chris0275, did you just plug the mini iOSD to the laptop by itself, or did you have to plug into Phantom turn on etc for it to work? When i plug iOSD into assistant, it seems like nothing is working? Cheers

Cool I think the 60fps allows for smoother production. I always take videos and photos separately so I can get the best results.

I always set mine at 1080 @ 60fpm. And 12mb when taking photos. Don't do simultaneous video and photos they will come out bad. Hope that helps.

I got the case from Supercheap Auto in NZ. I had to cut the top foam part, but the lower trays were precut with small cube size pieces, so just had to make the shape I wanted. Cheers for the idea, saved me some cash.
