  • I assume the UV filter is left in place .... is that correct? I just ordered the 4-pack for my P3P. Are they easy to change out without risking damage to them while extracting?

Please help me .... do you simply place the ND Filter on top of the UV, or do you remove the UV, insert the ND, and then replace the UV. I thought you first said the UV stays in.

You simply unscrew the UV-filter (the front glass on the P3 camera) and insert the ND-filter into the UV-filter and screw it back on. Check out the installation guide on the website here http://www.phantomfilters.bigcartel.com/installation

The "UV-filter" is the glass-thing you unscrew (and screw back on). Hope that helps - if not, I'm here :)

Got it .... I just couldn't tell if you showed the UV removed.
    Thanks ....!
Ordered a set from PhantomFilters.com - order came very quickly to the UK. I haven't had a chance to try the filters themselves out yet but this seller is genuine - very impressed with the service, the helpful tips provided, and the extra filter :)
I'll be posting a video comparison over the next few days when the weather brightens up a bit!

    Thanks PhantomFilters!
Really interested in these but see what I wrote on Phantompilots pasted below. Please get back to me: [email protected]
"Not trying to shoot these down as I think this route is the most realistic and practical option for an ND on the P3. Please educate me on how they work as good as glass and why....and I'm on board. Also how fast can you ship?"

My SRP set arrives Mon or Tues of this coming week. I hope I'm wrong and they're just perfect. We'll see right?

Frederick, that sounds like a deal. I'll send you a set and you can make a video showing them at work. Hopefully you'll have something nice to say - while remembering these are a low-cost option compared to the glass.

If you shoot me an email with your mail address I will send you a set for free :) [email protected] My name is Jakob by the way. It might be a few days into next week before I'll ship them off to you - I will keep you posted.
I just saw your post before the moderators removed it. Those filters look great, especially for the price. It'll mean I can keep my current lens cap, too.
I was just wondering, is there any chance of these filters scratching the lens? And how are they held in place up against the UV filter so that they do not simply fall backwards when tilting up?

    Thanks!

There should be no risk of them scratching the lens if you make sure they are clean when you install them. They are kept in place between the lens and the UV-filter (the part you unscrew to install it). Check out the website www.phantomfilters.com Installation page for photos. They fit snugly when you screw the UV-filter back on.
